The Apprentice (BBC).. Are They Serious?

Thu Mar 16, 2006 10:33 pm

Having caught the end of last night's episode just before the "you're fired" bit I do wonder about some of the people in there and their grasp on reality.

In particular, do people believe that if they bring up the right bullsh!t bingo phrases they'll be alright? Being on the losing team, but still coming out with "I'm a winner" as a reason not to get that day's taxi out of there. "No you're not, you lost!"

I'm not a great fan of Alan Sugar, but I couldn't help but feel sorry for him with all the cr@p that he was being faced with and at the end having one who was saved from the gallows stopping on the way out to thank him for "the opportunity".

I liked the bit at the end, when one of the non-fired pair goes "Thanks for the oppurtunity, Sir Alan". As soon as he laves the room, Sir Alan says "Cocky bastard".

Excellent TV,though I can't believe that those 10 were deemed the best 10 candidates.
