Mine came about because that flight number was the one of my so far last flight. It's been over 8 years now since I've flown and because of the airline.

LTU is the airline I've had my first Transatlantic flight with (it was MIA-HAM). 932 is the flightnumber of the since 1998 axed DUS-MIA-SJO flight (LT932). I still remember that same flight later continued on to San Andrés, when we deboarded in SJO.

mine is pretty prosaic really - my name is Andrew and I am from New Zealand - "Kiwi" in addition to being a flightless bird , a defunct airline and a tasty fruit ( I just know I am going to get some comments about that last one  Wink ) is a colloquial name for a New Zealander

I was a lead on the QX IT/Rates/Prepaid desk when I joined, I needed a user name, I'd just got done sending an offline PTA, so I used the first thing that popped into my head, our TTY address. It's supposed to be all caps (SEARPQX) but I wasn't paying attention when I typed it in, and it ended up as it is.

And in keeping with some more progressive schools of thought, God has miraculously transformed His gender. This opens a whole new can of worms: was Jesus Christ begot by two women?

airliners.net is a newbie. I have had gemuser on IT sites since the 1980s.

gem = Graphical Environment Manager (G.E.M.) from Digital Research (DR) a real GUI which worked very, very well and fast on a 286 processor. By comparision Windows at the time (v2.1) did NOT have graphics, only graphic charaters. GEM was 2-3 times faster on a 640K 286 than Windows. AND it was faster than MacOS (on a 68000) and much more intutive than ANY MAC interface. I mourned the day it died!

So gemuser is my tribute ri the best GUI every on a PC.
