Dad Accused Of Using Shock Collars On Kids

A 45-year-old man in Cedar City, Utah, is accused of using electric dog shock collars to discipline his two children, according to a Local 6 News report.

Police said Scott Dover put dog shock collars on his 6-year-old twin boys and when they would get out of hand, he would give them a jolt.

Seems quite a good idea to me...

(Joking! Though I don't see why it is unfair on kids yet fair on dogs).

Well, considering that there are those stupid toddler leads and harnesses, somehow I'm not surprised by this.

Exactly. You have a point. That's exactly what I was thinking. PETA!!!!!!!!!
But seriously, using shock collars on kids is sick, f**king sick. If my dad tried to use a shock colar to discipline me I'd turn round and kick him in the balls. HARD!

I do find the double standard of shock collars on kids vs. dogs amusing. Why is it we can leave our dogs at home alone but the kids have to be gathered up and toted around like baggage?

Once when my niece was visiting the house she climbed into the dog crate and pulled the door closed behind her. Oh how cute we all exclaimed and then snapped a few pics. I could only imagine the red tape we would have to go through if Georgia DFACs saw those pics. My aunt probably would have had to go before a judge to get the little brat back.

Don't forget that before states came up with the Department of Children's Services or Child Protective Services, the one agency most often relied upon to protect and advocate for children was the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Poor kids, i hope they put one on the guy and use it on him to let him know how his kids felt!
