Thinking of purchasing a Dell Computer - they OK ??
I've never had a Dell desktop, so can't speak for those. My laptop however is pretty good. It has had issues, but Dell is very quick on fixing stuff.
- Monitor went out. Took the inhouse rep two weeks to attempt a fix with different parts. Finally sent it to Dell, had it back repaired two days later.
- Space Bar fell off (I think this was my dog's fault though...lol)
- Rubber feet keep falling off. Make sure to superglue them.
- Computer wouldn't boot. Motherboard was fried (heat)
- AC adapter failed
Now this sounds like a bad deal, but in all cases they were very fast (shipped from MN

, had it back Wednesday at 8AM). Just make sure to go with the extended warranty and accident protection. For a desktop I wouldn't worry about accident protection, as the chance of accidentally spill something is minimal, and even then a keyboard or mouse is cheaper to replace than the service plan.
