Excellent photos . . . .

Once I get my camera downloaded, I'll post a few . . .

Anyone get any decent pictures at Delmonicos?? What a great dinner.

Looks like you had a great time in Las Vegas.

I myself have been to Vegas 7 times, and recognise most of the things in your Photos

I too stay in the Flamingo.
Been up the Stratosphere (been on the Big shot and roller Costa rides too)
I've been to the Hover Dam (or is it Damn ??)
Taken a ride on the Monorail
And have done the Star Trek experience.

Sadly I have yet to see the Grand Canyon or the Red rock.
Some Questions:

Did you go to any of the shopping mall's, I personally dislike cloths shopping, but I rarely have a choice  Wink.
Go on any of the rides ? (Big shot, Manhattan Express etc) ?
Did you like the Flamingo hotel ?, I usually have breakfast in the Buffet on my first day there, and then take a dip in the pool at night.
Lastly, did you enjoy your time in Vegas (kinda a silly question though Smile).

Not me, but talk to STLGph or FanofTristars.

I thought the Flamingo was just fine. It's nice, clean, and has all you really need, although it has litte of the style of places like the Venetian or Bellagio. Of course, it's a great deal less expensive, and they even comped me an upgrade to an executive suite since they would have had to move me after the first night, and I didn't care for that. So, she "asked her manager..."

I'm not a water person, but I did enjoy strolling around the nature reserve for a while in the warm late morning sun. As for meals, I ate twice in the Tropical Breeze Cafe (nothing special, but good enough), Saturday dinner at Delmonico in the Venetian (  bigthumbsup  ) , and otherwise just grabbed a sandwich here or there.

Does Dolly Parton sleep on her back?

Ha Ha Ha - not a snowball's chance in hell of me getting on one of those things - bad enough I went up into that damn tower - there's no chance I was going to get out on the gizmo and sling myself round and round 1500 feet above Las Vegas Blvd, hoping the numbnut that assembled, checked, certified or otherwise had a hand in the gizmos function was clean (not a doped up), sober and intelligent.

One of THE primary reasons (aside from having a definite and pronounced fear of heights) I never jumped out of aircraft in the Army was because I don't trust that some scumbag Private that packed my chute was hungover, doped up, drunk, stupid or all of the above.

So, the short version: No, I did not go on any of the rides . . . .  crazy

Nice place . . . . older property, but clean, functional, and I enjoy the garden and pool area for a morning cup of coffee (on the one morning I wasn't still out somewhere  biggrin  ). The "Habitat" rather reminded me of Hawaii . . .

We didn't eat at Flamingo - too crowded. We did hit a buffet at the Monte' Carlo - only because when we got there, we decided to eat, and that was the closest joint. Also munched on whatever stuck our fancy when we saw it. I don't recall any organized feeding, at a usual meal time, other than the exceptional dinner at Delmonicos. Rather reminded me of the mid-1990s when I traveled so much . . . . eat when hungry, sleep when tired, drink a lot.  wink

Great trip. . . . I'll get some of my photos posted here later tonight.
