Booking Cheap Flights/hotesl Yyz-fra

Sun Apr 02, 2006 11:10 pm

Ok, i hope the mods don't shift this thread to another forum.  pray

I started this thread in non-av as i "know" a lot of you here and i know that a lot of you fly regularly and have experience in getting the best bang for your buck.

My dad and i have been discussing a weekend trip to FRA. Visit old haunts and reminisce.

We want to fly in (early) May and stay for no longer than 5 days and no shorter than 3 days. We want to book the cheapest fare and hopefully this can be done over weekend, which i doubt.

So, where do you guys/gals book cheap flights?...direct from an airlines site, a travel site or last minute club?

Also anybody know any nice hotels in the Walldorf-Moerfelden area?

Please don't tell me to do a search. I want to hear of your recent dealings.

Thanks everybody.

Signed,

How about expedia. They show you which seats are still available.

GERMAN! DO YOU SPEAK IT?  Wink

If so, and I guess at least someone in your family does, you should give http://www.flug.de/ a try. You can fill in the departure and arrival airports and then enter the travel dates like on any other booking website. The good part is that you can also be shown the cheapest fares during a period you choose; the website will first display the cheapest fares and then guide you through selecting flights according to availability of said low fares. I've never used it, but it looks very good. If you don't trust the site, you can always look up the fares and then book elsewhere, such as Expedia. Have a nice trip!

Ya, i sprechen za German.  Wink Conversational only.

Anyways, i have a return flight with Air Transat for $547.60 (taxes and surcharges in). Not bad i think. May 20 to May 24. (This price through itravel200.com which is about $21 cheaper than the Air Transat site)

Anybody have any experience with a last minute club?

Thanks Aloges and YYZflyer for your input  checkmark
