Sad thing, is that there is always an element of truth to what the Onion is talking about.
So what do we do with a place like Detroit?
Bulldoze it and start over?

I am trying to think of other examples in history, of very large cities, that have dwindled down to shadows of their former selves.
So how far will Detroit slide, how small will Detroit become? Nothing I've seen says the trend has stabilized let alone reversed.

But there's always the Burbs...
