Las Vegas Marriage Question

Thu Apr 06, 2006 10:52 pm

Hmmm,

If you travel to Vegas and get married, are you married everywhere ?
Or is it just valid in LAS/NV ?

It's legal, valid and binding wherever you go. I got married in Las Vegas back in 1980. Me and the Dragon Lady decided that we should get married by a judge in Cali but none was available so we went to Las Vegas, checked into hotel, went and got the marriage license the next morning (the clerk is open 24 hours) and we were married by a Clark County special county commissioner for five dollars.

Legal and Binding World Wide.

Hell, there's even a Drive Thru Wedding Chapel on Las Vegas Blvd, a block or two south of Freemont Street.  crazy

I hope I'm NEVER that intoxicated.

All i got was a county commissioner with a picture of Abraham Lincoln on the wall. Course it was only five bucks, little office down on Fremont.
