Can You Limp With Both Legs?

Sat Apr 08, 2006 3:49 pm

Following making an arse of myself at the boat ramp a week or so ago A Night To Forget! (by Jafa39 Mar 24 2006 in Non Aviation)

I was changing a wheel for The Hormones t'other day, in bare feet, and caught my right big toenail with the tyre and split it lengthwise...do'h! pain, pain and blood everywhere!

Still not fully back to working order on my left foot and now this!!!

Can anyone advise me how you limp with BOTH feet???  Smile

had both my knees damaged a decade ago. After not being able to even crawl for a week I got by walking on crutches for several months.
That toe will heal, just keep it bare to reduce pressure on it.
I wish I were flying

I think most people in your predicement usually elect to use a wheelchair!

ouch.. I just wish you'd recover soon! That is one hell of pain!

I can't really think on how you could limp with both foot injured.. Crutches will probably reduce the pressure, but the pain will still be there..

I think I would agree with Gunsontheroof for you to perhaps use a wheelchair instead? (I know you'd feel like a disabled, but if it makes your foot or yourself feel better, then I suppose you could give it a try)..

usually - but it never hurts to rattle peoples cages from time to time by making them rethink what they think they know about me , if you know what I mean ... you should try it some time ( cage rattling , I mean ... as for 'the other' I doubt very much whether you are interested in trying that ... and if I did suggest it , even jokingly , no doubt some idiot will accuse me of 'recruiting' )

I was borrowing her wheels to line up my new trailer hubs so I didn't have to go to the breakers just yet.

But talking of wooses, you should meet her boyf!!!!

No, but he is a drip! An Emo, complete with eyeliner, black nail varnish and pierced eyebrow. The only reason I haven't set the dogs on him is because he is kind to The Hormones and doesn't listen to Hip-Hop.

Probably hasn't the energy to be unkind!

I should hope you wouldn't set the dogs onto him - that would be very cruel .... think of what the nail varnish and eyeliner would do to their digestive systems ! ( and remember who would probably have to clean up afterwards )

When I was a kid there was a guy where my dad worked that had a strangely stiff walk. My dad explained he'd stepped on a Russian mine in the war and had lost both legs above the knee. It's just a matter of technique, the amputee had said.

Actually I haven't got any dogs.....but I haven't told him that, maybe if the cats stared at him too hard he'd cry and go away.

But as an old lady told me the other day.

"Sometimes the drippy ones turn out best"

Here's hoping!! Anyway, time for bed, I have to tidy my garage tomorrow...that's gonna take some doing!
