I loved "That 70's Show", but never got to watch it much. It was a bit of over-the-top humor, and to each their own. No big deal.

I also never got to watch "Everybody Loves Raymond" in the past year or so-the reruns, and it is a funny, funny show.

Bofredrik: Maybe not a sitcom, but check out "Family Guy" on Z-tv, it's hillarious.

"The King of Queens"

I love that show. Though not really 'hilarious', it's a great feel-good sit com.

Personally, I like Sewdish sitcoms, like "Sven Contemplates the Banality of his Existence" and "The Grey Space Between Birth and Death." Oh, and the "Volvo Comedy Hour"  Smile

There is so little time for me to sit and actually watch TV. But some of my past favourites were,

'Drew Carey' Somehow I could relate to Drew.

'Seinfield' Whats not to like about this classic series?

'John Larroquette Show' A surprisingly intelligent sit-com (well for American TV anyways) that had an all too short 2 year stint on NBC

'WKRP IN Cincinatti' Who can ever forget the 'Turkey' epicode in the 1st season?

'Wings' As an aviation enthusiast how could miss over this series. A funny sit-com with a lot of likable characters.

"Get A Life" The annoying but funny Chris Elliot is a 40 something paper boy living with his parents (Bob Elliott and Elenor Donohughe). This ran on FOX for about 2 years.

'Married With Childern' The show that single handily put me off the ideal of marriage. Long live NO-MAAM!! http://www.bundyology.com/nomaam.html

As for the current crop of shows, well;

'The Office' This is probably the only sit-com' that I will try to make time for. While not near as clever as it's older British brother, it has definitely hooked me as a viewer.

Oh, they're plunging to the earth right in front of our eyes! One just went through the windshield of a parked car! Oh, the humanity! The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! Not since the Hindenberg tragedy has there been anything like this!"

That 70s SHow was a very good show the first few seasons. Well acted well written. Like many American sit-coms however, the network tied to milk the cow dry. However, there are a ton of pop culture references in That 70s show that more than likely simply won't translate to a European.

I respect shows that go out on top with thier creative integraty intact. Everybody Loves Raymond is an excellent example.

Too many shows continue long after they lose thier relevency. Being from Sweden you may not know this but there is a slang phrase for this called "Jumping the shark." It refers to the Happy Days episode where Fonzie jumps a shark on waterskis, which marked very dramatically the point where the show had lost all credibility.

That 70s Show jumped the shark about 3 years ago.

There are very few sit-coms out there that are both well acted and well written. My personal American favorite is Scrubs. A sit-com set in a hospital for those of you outside the US. I mention this first becasue it was developed in the US. Unlike my very favorite current sit-com The Office which is a British import. I love both the British version and the American one, however, I like the American version a bit better, simply becasue I was aware that there were jokes in the British version I just didn't get because I was American. Im sure the reverse is true for those outside the US.

Frankly, alot of British sit-coms are hysterical but baffling sometimes. I really had no idea what Lister was refering to when speaking of vindilu (sp?) in Red Dwarf, although I know what curry is.
A little less Hooah, and a little more Dooah.
