I pulled the papers on the Norway--she will be scrapped. Damage beyond econonic repair. Papers for auctioning her fittings (less artwork) are to be filed in 90 days. This gives them time to field two other offers for having her (al la QM
) as a floating convention center. I'm showing top offer to scrap from India...not in SE
United States is still in limbo...currnetly is listed on Historical Register but technically foreign owned (however, by a US subsidiary). She is economically challenged to be refitted, with cost estimated at US330M to refurbish/remodel.
Biggest issue besides power plants is getting her up to currents SAS regs and some major plumping issues (not all facilities had private bathrooms). Structurally, there is also an issue with the direction the NCL
wanted to take her---forcing the removal and replacment of many load bearing columns to make for better public rooms....
