English Turn GC In Nola

Thu Apr 27, 2006 12:01 pm

Not even sure how I stumbled across this thought but I was looking at an aerial view of English Turn down in NOLA and saw a fair amount of empty lots. That course has been there a fairly lengthy time and I thought was fully developed. Are those lots former house damaged and scrapped by Katrina or just open and waiting for some developer? Since the course is being used this weekend for the Zurich Classic I would guess that it wasn't hurt too bad during the storm. Any ideas from you folks down there?

Katrina must have done a lot of damage to TPC of Louisiana because it's back again at English Turn.

Can Hefty make it three in a row?

I believe that is what I heard. Was it the USF&G Classic or something that used to be at English Turn?

That's a funny name for him.

It was the HP Classic back in 2004.
