Health Update

Sat Apr 29, 2006 5:03 am

Had my appointment with the neurologist this morning. He ran me through some tests for things like reflexes, resistance to pressure (on arms and legs), for feeling in the limbs, and the like.

From what he could tell, the twitching isn't neurological. He never even brought up the possibility. He did say that an over-active thyroid might be causing the twitching. I had to get some blood drawn, so the lab can check that out. So I should hear something by Monday or Tuesday next week.

That's definitely a load off my mind, and we'll see what the blood tests reveal.  Smile

I'm glad the news was good and hope that the results of the tests are even better.  Smile Good health to you!

Congrats. I'm glad it doesn't seem to be anything serious!

You are still, however, a nut case  wink  . . . doctor's diagnosis notwithstanding.  laughing

Well, good news . . . it's not a cranial malfunction . . . so perhaps it's nothing of serious consequence at all  thumbsup

I researched this (muscle twitches) a few years ago and found a lot of stuff that said it could be caused by a deficiency of certain vitamins and/or minerals. I think magnesium was mentioned if I remember correctly. You might check into that.
