I don't know if I have a favorite but I know which ones I can't stand. www.[insert state name here].gov or .state.us. I think it is the ultimate in laziness to put that on the plates.

Ok, check that for a favorite. Unfortunately I can't get it living in Georgia.

I also like the New Hampshire slogan, "Live Free or Die". Were that slogan to be suggested today, it would quickly be shot down as somehow being too strong or politically incorrect.

Hogwash.

Wyoming is the best. They are the only state with no slogan on the license plate.

Accounts for the lack of anything in their state.  Wink

Actually, I quite like Wyoming, although it's a always been a bit too windy for me the times I've been there.

Heard about this. Damn shame, I think. I always liked the white on blue combination. Given Michigan's slogan, "The Great Lake State" I thought white on blue was appropriate. Not to mention those plates were easy to read from a distance as well.

The worst combination I've ever seen was back in the 70's I think it was, when MI plates were white on beige. Yuck.

Dead Last is my State's: "Ski Utah...Greatest Snow on Earth", right behind "Famous Potatoes" for Idaho.

I hate to tell you buddy, but MS doesn't have a slogan either. It simply says MS and on the bottom states the county you're from. I should know, I lived there for 20 years.

I liked the one that was deemed inapropriate when Kentucky chose there new one based on suggestions.

Kentucky - At least it's not West Virginia!

"Yes, Its that friendly" has officially died a horrible death though.

I will never get past "Wander Indiana" though.

My favorite for sure goes to DC and thier Taxation without Representation slogan. That being said, the funniest vanity plate I have seen here in my little neck of the woods simply says IONBA. NBA is a now defunct bank bought by Wells Fargo formerly known as National Bank of Alaska.

Neither does California have one on their standard plate, except the old one from the 80s:
"Look Lois, the two symbols of the Republican Party: an elephant, and a big fat white guy who is threatened by change."

That California plate actually looks better than the current one in my opinion.. I wish they would have kept it... The Blue/Red/Gold/Orange go good together.
