Working At Cold Stone Creamery

Wed May 24, 2006 1:20 am

Hey, I just found out that I got a job at Cold Stone Creamery for the summer until school resumes. I'm not too sure what to expect, but I have heard it is a fun place to work. Any of you ever worked there? Give me your thoughts! Thanks!

Hey Scared,
Congrats on the job.
I have never worked at Cold Stone, but I can say that they have some damn fine ice cream! Whenever we go to the shore, that's the first place Jr wants to stop!

Just hope you can sing in tune when the tips hit the jar!

Thank goodness there are no CSC's anywhere immediately near here or I'd be making those people on Geraldo look anorexic!!!

Enjoy the job, most importantly be respectful of your managers and your customers. Be careful in what you do/say with your peers @ work. Have fun!!!

Get ready to sing. If I chuck so much as a nickle in their jar I get a friggin' ballad.  silly

CSC is the best as far as those mix-in ice cream places go. One of my best friend's worked there years ago when we were in high school and he noted that it was quite easy to give friends big time discounts and free ice cream. I swear he added at least 10 pounds to my uncle's already large frame.

And I found that extremely awkward, to be honest with you.

Nor do I. I used to try and do it when they weren't looking, but the sound of coin on coin was a dead giveaway.  Smile

Cold Stone is great...I've been to a few in North Carolina (never had heard of them before moving down), but it's great...you could make a meal out of it (healthy...no; delicious - heck yes!)

I've tried it too but it's useless, too many other customers. It honestly drives me up a wall so I rarely go there despite their great ice cream.

Good as it is, it will never be the same as Herrell's though!

Cold Stone's is definately something i miss about the US. When I'm at my friend's house in Southern California, we will always visit Cold Stones whenever we went to Albertsons to get the groceries.

I'm not sure what it would be like to work there. A few years ago, i used to work in a bakery, selling cakes, bread etc, and i packed the job in after 3 weeks because the constant smell of food was making me ill. I'm not sure how working in an ice cream shop would compare however. Good luck though!

I worked at when I was a sophomore in High School.....
Wasn't really a people person so I quit.....
I was tired of singing for tips, sucking up to the customers, and all of those rude people that think that treats you like a slave or something...
It's funny too because I have sweaty armpits...... Smile

All this talk of Cold Stone is making me hungry. I would kill for a birthday cake remix right about now.
