This is why I don't understand the frenzy over supporting the England team, the st.georges flag painted on houses, hanging from cars and windows, and basically everywhere.
These "fans" should realisse by now that their obsession with England football team will only lead to greater disappointment and misery because they are in a delusional world where they think England's the best. Even if they DID win the world cup (LOL) what does it matter to these silly people anyway?
What kind of personal gain does it give them? NOTHING. Just a superficial and often materialistic euphoria which is no doubt fueled by plenty of alcohol and so called "team spirit".

Blimey, Kirkie, talk about clutching at straws.

It was a B international, not a full one, and the England second string, without any of the first team bar those who've been injured and desperately need match practice play together for the first time in a gentle kick about.

If ever a result was irrelevant, whoever won, it was this game.

Haha well said! I fully agree with that, and the same goes for every soccer fan in the world. There is no personal gain except for some "team spirit" and some more patriotism, but who cares?

It ain't us, it's the English media - as an Englishman, I agree that the media should just let go of this - it is embarassing, and I can see why the Scottish get so wound up about it too.

Still, that's no excuse for you all to support any team that is playing against England! The majority of England supporters (that I know) would follow Scotland if they made it to a world cup and England didn't. Sadly, it is quite the opposite when it is reversed - and thats why the Scottish have a reputation as bitter b*****ds  Wink (including some of my Scottish friends....)

I actually thought it was very unsporting of them to score when our player had just "ruptured his goin" and was clearly in a lot of pain, as you can imagine.

I agree but the referee should be to blame for not stopping the game (but nowadays with all the simulation, how can you know, he f**ks up his shot and suddenly comes down, you never know), I mean come on it's Belarus!!! They are not used to international games or even games at all, that's why I would have to agree with Kirkie, be it a B team, it's still freaking England (with Owen, Theo came on also), they shouldn't have lost such a game!
