1st try: 37/45 82% avg error 62 miles 417 secs
2nd try: 45/45 100% 327 secs.

It really depends on the order in which the countries are presented. If you can anchor the large countries first, the rest fall into place much easier. First time around, I was stuck with many of the smallest countries first.
It's been swell, but the swelling has gone down.

It was my first try, as you can see in the lower screenshot in reply #16.

I admit, I had luck with the micro-states, when I would try again I would probably place one or two of them wrong.

I found it quite useful that the rivers are displayed on the map, for example: I had to place Moldova on the map before I placed Ukraine and Romania. The Dniester river is a big part of Moldova's North East boarder, so I orientated on that.

It's already outdated. One week old country Montenegro is missing.

Faeroe Islands also missing.

It helps a lot when countries like Macedonia and Moldova don't come first.

Would be funny to try the same with countries and borders of 1906 instead of 2006.

Is there a similar test with the 50 US states? I'm sure I would get at least Hawaii, Alaska, Florida and California right first time. But trying to place Iowa would probably put me a thousand miles off.

Being independent less than a week, without universal international recognition, I think we can let that one slide.

Not a sovereign country.

Well the Faroe Islands is not a sovereign country. Then Gibraltar would be missing too.
