Movies You Can Watch Over And Over Again

Fri Jun 16, 2006 10:38 am

OK, we probably discussed it before, but why wouldn't we do it again?  Wink

This is the list of movies I can watch over and over again:
Hair
Cabaret
Coming Home
Deer Hunter
Big Chill
Breakfast At Tiffany's
Some Like It Hot
Kramer vs. Kramer
Good Will Hunting
An Officer and A Gentleman
To Sir With Love
(there are few more, I'll add it later)

Give us your list.

For me it's Pulp Fiction.

When that first came out on video, I had one of those video machines like the have in supermarkets that only play tapes, and when it reaches the end, it automatically rewinds and plays again. Every time I was home in my room I would have it on. Watched it multiple times every day for over 2 weeks (obviously I wasn't just sat watching it all that time, I was doing other things too at the same time).

Each time I watch it I'm always trying to put it in the logical running order in my head. Thats probably why I like it so much.

I keep saying to myself that one day I will connect 2 videos together and then record the film and play it in the correct order just to see what it would be like.

I've seen Kill Bill numerous times and each time I pick up on something new. There are just some films that are like that with so much detail and you pick up on the smaller things after watching it numerous times. They're kind of like puzzles I guess.

Quoting Aleksandar (Thread starter):
Good Will Hunting

That one. Plus, Notting Hill (I am a sucker for romantic comedies, grab it every time it is on TV).

On another note, here are some movies I just love but have problems seeing them again:

- Dead Poet Society
- Moulin Rouge

Quoting Zkpilot (Reply 3):
TOP GUN

Used to be like that, kicked the habit a long time ago.

OK, "Seinfeld" is not a movie.   But I watch it over and over and over, more than anything else.

The classic Woody Allen movies:
Sleeper
Love and Death
Annie Hall
Zelig

Jack Nicholson movies:
As Good As It Gets
Chinatown
The Last Detail

Other movies:
All the President's Men
The Right Stuff
Harold and Maude
Life of Brian

Nice too, just not on TV as much.

Note that the movies I mentioned aren't necessarily my favorite ones, just some movies I find very easy watching (light saturday-afternoon sort of movies) and actually do so.

I love Dead Poet Society and Moulin Rouge but they are so sad that I just find them difficult to watch over and over again (the same thing happens, to a certain extent, with Shawshank Redemption).

To be honest I can rarely watch a movie twice, the only movie I can really do time and time again is "Withnail and I" and even then its usually a couple of years before I can watch it again, never read a book twice either.

Must be ADHD or something coz I don't use notes for presentations, each one is live and each subtly different.....anything else would be Groundhog Day.  Smile

OK, I might be a bit upset after what Argentina did to my team, but one should be fair regardless of everything, so I must admit I really like some Argentinian movies. Especially the Oscar winning "Official Version" and another one I recently saw called "Nueces Para el Amor ". Did any of you guys from Argentina see that movie?
