Gambling Insanity

Wins £90k then loses £158k, all in 50 minutes in online gambling...... with his parents' credit cards. Then tries to commit suicide.

The man's an addict and you can't legislate for that, but should anyone be allowed to gamble, and lose, that kind of money in such a short period of time? In the end it's the credit card fraud insurance policy that will cover this, which means it's all our money.

Too bad he didn't succeed  Sad

It's not as bad as the KLF burning £1,000,000.

Sorry Mel, but for those who are addicted/addicts, there is no 'like' about it.

I'd like to see stats on ratios of other addictions versus gambling.
IE 100 million in the US have gambled, of those 10,000 are addicts
Versus
150 million in the US have tried drugs, but 100,000 are addicts.

While it's inarguable that having a gambling habit is bad, I'd like to think there are fewer people impacted by gambling as an addiction then other things.

True. But its a contributing Factor.Out here Families starve because the Head of the Family is addicted to Gambling. It affects more than the Faulty person.
