Well, well... they still have about 992 years before the production catches up to the timeline...!

I love Futurama.

One thing that gets me is that little pet they have, with the teeth. The one that can eat anything and then produces neutronium waste matter. I forget its name.

Anyway, in one episode, it was revealed that it was one actually a member of one of the most ancient and powerful races in the universe. (As I recall, it wasn't a "dream episode" and may be canon.) In any event, I wonder what happened to that little guy.

Also, it was always weird to me that it was able to consume such things as huge animals and yet never posed a threat to the crew; the fact that it's (he's) actually an intelligent, sentient being, however, somewhat relieves that concern.

If I remember correctly, Nibbler chose to live as a harmless(!?) pet on earth...!

Who wouldn't want to be one, in America, even in the 21st Century! Pets are treated as family -- as children, with no responsibilities -- in most American middle-class homes!

Well, maybe you have to chase the occasional squirrel up a tree, but that's nothing.  Wink

I wonder why it takes so long to shoot the scenes. Just pay the actors well and It'll be ready to go on tv within this year...

actors' schedules
production employees' schedules
available use of studio production space
writers' schedules including treatments, first drafts, rewrites, etc.
mixing and editing....

the fact that they've announced new episodes means the longest part of the whole process is over......pay negotiations.
