I've insisted that he be financially self-sufficient before they get married, so it will be another couple of years. He's an apprentice chef in a 5-star hotel. He's extremely good at what he does (he did our family's christmas dinner bash last year), but he needs to finish the apprenticeship first.
But he's come an awful long way since I first met him a few years ago. He was a wigger at the time (white guy who tries to dress and talk like a rapper). The first time he came to the house I chased him off with a bat. Now he has learned how to act more civilized, can mix with any company (including 5-star customers), and he thanks me for having shaken him up a bit
