I thought they went to Stanstead once.

Oh well.

Pauline was nice but she was too pedantic and made a big deal out of too much. Silly woman.

EastEnders must be the only soap not to have had burning wreckage falling from the sky, so perhaps that should be how she meets her demise!

does this mean they will be extending the Walford Tube Line to Stansted?

Well if its LCY , they could do a BA Connect A321 operated by GT flight to TFS, that slides off the runway into a freezing cold dock! instead of the warmth of Playa De Las Americas!

A refreshing post. Makes a change from the normal stuff!

Before she dies she gets a job with Easyjet at Luton. She has the right personality for facing the half-wit passengers and working with snotty desk staff (as featured in the moan-a-thon Airline TV programme).

"Whaat do you meeen, you've forgot your passport..tut..I dunno some people. My Arrrfer never forgot nuffink when went to Spain the one time"

"If you are late and missed boarding TUFF! You should of left home earlier. How old are you? Can't you tell the time.....tut"

Later she is killed by a passenger at the end of the shift.

Otherwise known as Wendy Richard, she is an actor who has been in one of the UK's longest running soaps 'Eastenders'. Not a program I watch, but it will be sad for many to see her go.

Not sure this is very civil aviation, but she is probably better known in the US as Miss Brahms of the seventies BBC sitcom "Are you being served", Miss Brahms being the young, tasty female assistant - a long way removed from Pauline Fowler.

Can still be seen on BBC America

Don't fink Corrie's had a plane crash yet. There were rumours of a metrolink crash/accident some time ago, but Manchester Metrolink were having none of it! Then of course, Rita's husband went under the wheels of a Blackpool tram......tragedy.

For me, it was either talk about this, or get myself banned for talking about Beirut Airport, so I chose this.

She infact signs upto a.net and joins "non-aviation" (i can see where "aviation" comes into play there..

However.. she has a heart attack whilst meeting a friend she gained over the boards.

I just realised how long EastEnders has been on. Good lord...I've been watching it for 21 years? Dot, Pauline, and Ian are three of the originals that are still there. Are there any others? I can't remember. Pauline held her age quite well. Just a "few" more wrinkles.

Ian's sure showing his age. But then, he isn't the innocent schoolboy of 1985. What is it now? Three wives, some mistresses, four kids, more than a few enemies, and a magnet for injury. A paradigm of how not to live your life.

1986

Sounds a lot like someone else we know, eh Kazzie ? Hehe - just buy her a pink cardie, the resemblance would be astonishing.

I hope they do kill off Pauline, she's turned into even more of an old humphy trout in the 4 years I haven't been watching (I now get Eastenders on BBC Prime - wooohoo for the omnibus on Sundays). I vote for a Korean 747F, shot down by Sonya Jackson with a stinger missile made in Arthurs old shed, landing on her head at STN while waiting for Martin and his blonde bit to get back from Ibeefa - if we're lucky some flaming wreckage might take out that annoying gap-toothed sprog as well.
