Lippi To Join Man United After All?

Fri Jul 14, 2006 11:41 pm

Keep in mind that the following is as according to The Sun...

The same newspaper reported earlier that Italy's world cup winning coach Marcello Lippi was set to take over as Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant manager.

Lippi commented on the rumours shortly after by saying: "How can you work a place where you don't speak the language?"

Well, sources close to Lippi say he is currently taking a language course in Milano, to learn English. A friend of his is quoted saying "he is 70% certain of joining the Premier League."

What I am wondering is how on earth two managers like that can fit in on club?  irked

Well Fergie must be retiring soon - after all that hoohaa over 'almost' retiring a few seasons ago.

Can't believe he's been at United for 20 years now. Not common for a manager in England to sit more than one or two seasons.

(Or two/three clubs a season if you're Harry Redknap.)
