F1: Where Will Kimi Go?

Sat Jul 15, 2006 2:53 am

As we halfway through a thrilling F1 season still no solid news on who kimi raikkonen is going to drive for next season. As a big mclaren/kimi fan i do hope he stays at mclaren but if he goes i would hope he would replace alonso at renault and not play lap dog to schumacher(if he stays) at ferrari, as probably one of the quickest most focused drivers in F1 i just hope he makes the right choice for himself and the fans!

I doubt Kimi will stay with McLaren. He is sick of their reliability. Chances are he'll end up at Renault or Ferrari.

I doubt he will goto Ferrari if MS stays. Why would you? Renault seems like a more likley option. The package has been very good for the past few years and theres no reason why that should change. On the technical side of things, McLaren have been delt a few blows with the departure fo key personell most notably Adrian Newey. The technical team are lacking direction, although the majority of the poor reliability comes from the Mercedes engine. I'll keep saying it... Its time to go... Norbert Haug

Kimi won't go to Ferrari unless Schumi leaves, plain and simple.

Looks like his choices may be Renault, Red Bull, and possibly McLaren(!)

Supposedly Heikki Kovalainen is the Finn that Flavio wants at Renault, not Raikkonen, so that may be a thin option at best.

Anyone else think Alonso might try to pull a "Button" and stay put now that McLaren on the slide?
I'll rassle ya for a bowl of bacon!
