"The problem with being punctual is that no one is around to appreciate it."

There really is no explaining the meaning of my signature. If you tell me to be there at 7pm, I show up at 6:50pm. I am very punctual and I can't stand it when people are consistently late. Being late once in awhile is OK, because I too am late once in a while. Its just when someone is consistently late do I get annoyed. I guess being in the airline industry, where everything is scheduled, has made me that way.

However, I am considering changing my signature to "Ops check good"

"Ops check good" Is a phrase that is often found in an aircraft technician's documentation of his/her work. When I sign off, for example, that I "removed and replaced the right engine fuel flow transducer" I must also state that I checked that the new part is working correctly. "Ops check good" means that I verified the new part is working correctly.

This prick of a guy, who graduated last year, always strutted around saying my signature, and since I had my AIM screenname up there for so long, I decided to change it, and this is what popped into my head.

Just to give you an idea of how much of a jerk this guy truly was, this is what he wrote in my memory book:

"Hey Sean, have a good two years! I know I've been a jerk, but I really do just want whats best for you. It was great getting to dance with you! Have a great life!"

So anyhow, my signature means that the further you get into something, or the closer you get to it ending, the faster things seem to go by, which I've found to be true, so that was cool.

"The A.net Doc!"... Pretty self-explanatory. Although I think I should change it. Seems a bit obnoxious.

I like this one better, from Sir Winston Churchill - very appropriate to the Middle East discussion:

"A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject."

Mine is because of my love for a certain supersonic airliner built in Britain (and France.....).

I was going to change it to "Semper Edero" which I'm reliably told is Latin for "Always Eating." The sign of a good pilot is "Food first, everything else Second!"
