Israeli Children Sign Missiles 'With Love' Part 2

Wed Jul 26, 2006 10:20 am

This is dedicated to Clickhappy, in recognition of one of his most recent gems: Israeli Children Sign Their Missiles ‘with Love' (by Clickhappy Jul 18 2006 in Non Aviation)

Like most people, I was dumbfounded and bewildered by the picture in question. Since then, an account of what happened behind the scenes of this photo-shoot emerged, and since naturally it would get no media attention, I'm posting it here: http://www.sandmonkey.org/2006/07/18/the-fucked-up-pictures-explained/

Indeed, and the Israeli press covered it as well in a critical way....I don't see any self-criticism from the Arab press regarding any of the number of horrible, wrongs things they do.

I read that a few days ago, looking for it since I would be expecting this.

What about this story?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060726/...e_mi_ea/mideast_fighting_hezbollah

"The truth is — let me say this clearly — we didn't even expect (this) response ... that (Israel) would exploit this operation for this big war against us,"

Asked about reports that Hezbollah has been firing Iranian-made missiles on Israel, Komati said: "We don't deny nor confirm. We believe where the weapons come from is irrelevant."

Or this gem:

http://www.americanthinker.com/comments.php?comments_id=5646

"Nasrallah gave his Lebanese audiences two defenses. On the one hand, the Lebanese government negotiated a “dialogue” with Hezbollah. He told the Siniora goverment,

I said that we would abduct Israeli soldiers, in meetings with some of the main political leaders in the country. I don’t want to mention names now, but when the time comes to settle accounts, I will. They asked: ‘If this happens, will the issue of the prisoners be over and done with?’ I said that it was logical that it would."

In order to prevent a lot of duplication, and in order to prevent the arguments spiralling out of control, we have decided to create four official threads to deal with the current conflict involving Israel and Lebanon in the Middle East. Please find these discussions here:
Official Middle East Situation Report Thread (by Moderators Aug 1 2006 in Non Aviation)
Official Sympathy For Israel Thread (by Moderators Aug 1 2006 in Non Aviation)
Official Sympathy For Lebanon Thread (by Moderators Aug 1 2006 in Non Aviation)
Official Middle East Conflict Discussion Thread (by Moderators Aug 1 2006 in Non Aviation)
