Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu (they still owe me 12 bucks), Lacuna Coil, Bleeding Through, David Allan Coe, A Perfect Circle, The Mars Volta, Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, The Deftones, and Mudvayne.
And all at once the crowd begins to sing: Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same

I don't really go to a lot of "rock concerts", as I tend to gravitate towards smaller shows at dive clubs/bars where most of the bands I like play. Here's a pretty complete list of every band I've ever seen regardless of where it was. I've omitted bands that I've played in/with over the years simply because listing them would require more thinking than I'm willing to do right now and it'd make the list far too long anyways.

Now there's a couple of blasts from the past, but not surprising being the  old  git that you are.. Big grin

Probably saw some of my best shows while in Europe, and the top one certainly had to be Led Zeppelin, Knebworth 1979

Ozzy Osbourne, Leeds Queen's Hall, 1982. Not long after the untimely death of Randy Rhoads, Brad Gillis from Night Ranger stepped in and did a fantastic job.

Probably the most visited venue was the Festhalle in Frankfurt. Fortunate enough to witness Queen, The Who, Boston, Supertramp and others during the late 70's..

Too many others to mention...or remember..

idk if this qualifies as a "rock concert" but I have been to a Joe Cocker concert a few years ago in Copenhagen because I got the ticket for free. I usually don't go to concerts though

Most of the bands I'm listing are probably more heavy metal than 'rock'. But nevertheless...

2002:
Gluecifer (Rock)
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (Rock)
Iggy Pop (Iggy pop)
Moby (Ehh... Can't really be defined)

2003:
Extol (Metal)
Opeth (Metal)

2005:
Gothminister (Metal) *Signed my album and invited us backstage to meet...
Tristania (Metal) *Had a chat with most of the band members, who also signed my shirt.
Brutallica (Coverband, but pretty good at it too)
Stonegard (Metal)
Black Sabbath w/ Ozzy (Rock/Metal)
Susperia (Metal)
Lumsk (Metal/Folk) *saw them twice in a few months. Great band.

2006:
Wolfmother (Rock)
Opeth (Metal)
Tool (You tell me...)

Saw Pink Flyod in 94, then Roger waters in 2000, and recently saw David Gilmour (Lead Pink Flooyd guitar/singer) in April, and will see Roger Waters again this September and October. I am a Pink Floyd fanatic as you can see. I have been to see other musicians, but they just didn't compare...

I would love to go to a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert as well!

They are a shell of their former selves. A bunch of blowhards in their later days with a huge loss of their funkiness from the mid 80s.

As for me...I lost count of what concerts I have been to. Some highlights include...

Numerous U2 shows from the mid 80s onward.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Hootie and the Blowfish at a dive bar in Huntsville, AL before they became big (and subsequently burned out.)
Fleetwood Mac
AC/DC
Metallica in the 80s
Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band
The Black Crowes
R.E.M. with the Indigo Girls and Drivin' N Cryin' opening up for them
Depeche Mode
The Cure
Poison and RATT on the same stage
Quiet Riot at a small club in Atlanta

But my most varied venues for one performer has to be Jimmy Buffet. I've seen him give free concerts on the lawn of the Student union at University of Florida, arenas, outdoor theatres, huge stadiums, and at the airport in Gainesville while on the victory tour when Gov. Chiles won re-election back in 1994.

I've seen...

Metallica - Copps Coliseum, Hamilton, Ontario - http://www.metallica.com
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Ontario - http://www.trans-siberian.com
Blue Man Group (x2) - Panasonic Theatre, Toronto, Ontario - http://www.blueman.com

I've won tickets to go see...
K-os, but we pretty much got snowed in, and it was 1 hour away, so I cancelled.
The Tragically Hip - It was for a new years eve show in Hamilton, actually won two sets, and sold them off because I already had previous plans.
Metallica - but I went to the concert, and it was a GREAT one at that.

I need to start going to more!!

Haven't been to one in a long time, kids tend to mess such things up but here's the ones I can remember:

Police
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts(warm up for the Police, almost went late to skip them, glad I didn't because they were twice as good as the Police and the Police weren't bad)
REM(several times, much better before they started putting out albums)
Clash(at least 5 times)
Santana(again, at least 5 times)
Grateful Dead(4 or 5 times)
The Who(surprisingly, one of the worst shows ever)
INXS
The Commodores
Pat Metheny
Jimmy Buffett
Blotto
Peter Gabriel
Herb Alpert (it was a mistake, got the dates wrong and ended up buying lawn tickets for this instead of Yes. It was OK until he brought his 9 year old daughter out on stage and then we had to leave as it was painful)
Buddy Rich
BB King
Bobby Blue Bland
Millie Jackson
OMD
The Ramones
Maynard Ferguson
Sun Ra and his Arkestra
Doctor John
Adam Ant(don't laugh, it was free and within walking distance so what the hell, btw it sucked, recorded music and no band)
Simon & Garfunkel
Richie Havens
The Dickies
In the close but no banana dept., I'll put the Pretenders and Supertramp. I had tickets to a Pretenders show but then the drummer put his fist through a hotel window and they had to cancel a few shows including mine. On a HS trip to France in 79 we got to catch Supertramp doing their soundcheck at the Roman theatre in Orange but our schedule didn't let us stay for the show. Too bad, great place for a concert.

FWIW, my picks for best and worst venues and shows:

Best venue large - Madison Square Garden, great unobstructed views and good acoustics
Worst venu large - Carrier dome, nothing redeeming about the place, anyone scheduling a concert there should be shot
Best venue small - tie for the Fox in Atlanta and the Palace in Albany, NY. If it was just acoustics I'd have to pick Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Troy, NY but it's too small to even be considered for most shows.
Best shows - Clash, Santana, Peter Gabriel
Worst shows - the Who, Adam Ant, INXS also a disappointment
Where are all of my respected members going?

Very cool to have met him in person.

The "Welcome to my nightmare" tour was perhaps his best. But nice to see he's still going strong.  Smile

Not in any particular order...

Suede
Radiohead
Supergrass
Dire Straits
Mark Knopfler
Smashing Pumpkins
Jars of Clay
Edwin McCain
Delirious
All Star United
John Mayer
U2
Fairport Convention
Switchfoot
Kings of Leon
The Dandy Warhols
The Darkness
Sigur Ros
Snow Patrol
Keane
The Killers
B.B. King
Alex Acuna
Herbie Hancock
Wynton Marsalis
Beth Orton
Jimmy Eat World
Moby
Fat & Frantic
Eden Burning
Train
The Stereophonics
Ash
Guns N' Roses
The Eagles
The Rolling Stones

A whole lot more that I don't remember right now.

I think my absolute favourite shows out of all of the list above would be U2 on their Vertigo tour, and Train on their Private Nation tour.

Train on their Private Nation tour.

Ah forgot them. I saw Train at a small studio in Atlanta as a radio station giveaway. 40 folks no more than 10 feet from the band in an acoustic setup. They did "Ramble On" and if you closed your eyes you could have sworn it was Robert Plant.

Needed to add

The Rolling Stones (numerous times)
Pink Floyd
Cake
The Old 97's
Duran Duran

Many more that I'm sure other posts will cover for me.
