I've seen them in Chicago. They are interesting and good to see once IMO. Performance art (if you can call it art) is not a huge favorite of mine but these guys are interesting. The music is pretty good as well and the band they have usually pulls out some old stuff like "White Rabbit" from Jefferson Airplane when I saw them.

I have no idea how much your tickets are but ours were about $120 for me and the little lady. You do stand a chance of getting crap on you if you are in the first few rows. IIRC they either have ponchos on those seats or a sheet of plastic for the row to share as a whole.

Enjoy the show.

Saw them in Boston probably 6 years ago. Loved the show. Good music, hilarious "skits" (or whatever you'd call them).

I want to say our tickets were around $30 apiece, but I really don't remember. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd gone up significantly since then.

They handed out ponchos at the one I went to for the first few rows (I was near the back, but the Charles Playhouse in Boston is a pretty small theater, so still a great view).

I also recommend not getting there late, as if you do, they will embarrass you in front of the whole crowd. Least that's what they did when I saw them!  Smile

Did they come out of the Boston area...?? I remember seeing their ads in the Boston area in 1997-98.

Exceptional! IMHO, one of the best shows in Vegas . . . . a definite must-see.

I last saw them at Luxor in Vegas several years ago - the've since moved. Their show is worth whatever you perhaps paid for it . . . .

$30 apiece

Man, did I take it in the shorts then, I paid $95 a pop at Luxor . . .  Wow!  cry

Just looked online, and tickets in Boston are currently $48 or $58 (of course, there's also $9.50 "convenience charge" per ticket....).

Come to think of it I think our tickets were closer to $100 each since I vaguely remember going WTF?! when I purchased them online. Of course we were in the second row so I suppose it is all good.

Sorry, missed this question in my last post. Anyway, from www.blueman.com:

"The show evolved out of salon style meetings in the late 80s with three long time friends Chris Wink, Phil Stanton and Matt Goldman. They began making public appearances as Blue Man Group on the streets of New York City as well as in performance art spaces of the East Village. Some of those pieces, as well as others developed with musical collaborators Larry Heinemann, Ian Pai and video designer Caryl Glaab, were used to create a show at La Mama, ETC. (the famous East Village performance space). This led to opening the show at the Astor Place Theatre. The Boston show opened next, followed by Chicago, then Las Vegas, Berlin and Toronto."

I think that I saw them around '98 or '99 in Boston.

Blue Man Group are great, but I like STOMP! even more. I've seen STOMP! twice and I've got tickets to see them again when the missus and I are in London in September.

Dan,

let us know what they are like. I was going to go see them b4 I came out here, but didn't get around to it.

Really want to see them when I get back though.

I've seen Blue Man four times, all in Chicago, and loved them all - it's an absolute riot and a great way to spend time out. You'll enjoy it greatly!

I've seen the Toronto Blue man group performance twice. They're well worth the money!! Over here tickets are approximately $60 CDN/person. http://www.bluemanlibrary.com and you can find a bunch of footage of performances, appearances, etc.

I recently saw Stomp on tour, and although it was a really good show. I prefer the Blue Man Group.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING

The show was great. With me thinking we were at the top of the theatre, i was shocked when we got directed to the 2nd row and had to put ponchos on lol. The music was amazing, the 3 guys funny. Audience participation is in depth to some of the performance. The strobe lighting and toilet roll was something that needs to be seen. It was weird seeing a whole load of toilet paper making its way to the front row, with stobe lighting, music and weird colours coming from the roof.

GREAT night had by all. And we did not get messy, that was the middle group lol
Where does the time go???

I saw them at a Synagoge on a Friday at sundown. There was a lot of food, a lot of reading, and a lot of vodka.

Oh wait... you said Blue Man Group? I thought you meant Jew Man Group!
