CDG - A Little Help?

Tue Sep 12, 2006 4:26 am

So last night I found some cheappy flight from LHR to CDG, so the missus and I will take a short detour to Paris while we're in the UK next week. Here's m question...what's the easiest way for a non-French-speaker to get from CDG in to Paris, specifically within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower (seeing as our hotel is just a mile from there)?

Easiest ? Train and metro. Take the RER from Roissypole (T1/T3) or from the station in T2 to Chatelet, then the metro (Yellow line) Franklin D Roosevelt, then the to Trocadero on the orangy line (I think it's orange, I'm colour blind). The Eiffel Tower is just across the river from Trocadero

The RER is by far the easiest way to get into the city. Once you're there, there are plenty of Metro lines that can get you to your destination, depending on where it is.
