Half-Life 2: Episode 1...

Mon Sep 18, 2006 4:49 am

I'm stuck somewhere and don't see any way out. I like the game so far but trust me, asking how to get out is not fun enough for me to discover on my own.

At of Sept 17th, I'm stuck in the elevator shaft with water at the bottom, I see ladders up at the level the lelevator dropped but the only way I can get up is to let those creatures on the ceiling pull me up, but they won't let me go unless I kill them, so I can't swing sideways. Thought of carefully moving the flamable cans at the begining into the elevator to get it to drop due to weight, but I can only move three of them and usualy die.

Help!

I got stuck here too, but I forgot how I got out. I'll ask my brother and see if he knows. Have you looked for any walkthroughs? Sorry, it's been a few months...

It's been a while since I've played, but if I remember the scene right, you have to let them pull you up, then kill them at the last second, and just push the arrow key (if you don't have a joystick like me) and that should get you where you need to be. Be careful though, I think there are a bunch of the exploding drums in there, with trip mines.

Ahh, that's right. You can go through another shaft, though, and if you go slowly you'll be OK.

That was the worst part of the game there. I got sick of being blown to smithereens every time I tried.  Smile

I finished the game.  Smile Thanks folks.

You can go through another shaft,

At first I didn't know what you were talking about, as I never thought for a second to go onto the room where I killed that little four-legged spider.

But then another problem came, fighting the giant robot spider (I will refer it to it as the standard game 'koopa') at the railroad station. Dude it was hard enough killing one, then the other came and I near gave up til I realized there were catwalks...and I was like, hmm.  Wink

Bwah ha...excellent, another one for the cult! You should read these: A hilarious comic based on the games.

Some of it is black humor, but after a few of them you'll be dying of laughter!

Sorry 'bout that, I never express myself well.  blush  And I take it you refer to headcrabs and striders, lol. Nasty buggers those poison-black headcrabs. Not even a mite fond of them.  Smile
