I Need A New Wallet...

Mon Sep 18, 2006 10:45 am

So I have decided that I need a new wallet. The old tri-fold just isn't cutting it after 4 years. Does anyone know of any especially good places that sell decent wallets? I see them all the time at the mall, so I'll take a look.

Also, just curious, what kind of wallets do you all prefer? Leather, velcrel, tri-fold? ect..

Standard leather wallet works for me. Those velcro ones were all the rage in middle school, if that's what you're looking for.  Wink

Sometimes all you can do is look them in the eye and ask " how much did your mom drink when she was pregnant with you?"

I like a leather bi-fold. I have had the same one for about three years and It still looks good. It was $10 at a discount store (Gordman's in St. Louis, MO.). I have spent more in years past and only got a year out of it. I am hard on a wallet. I am a mechanic and so I sit on the ground a lot when I work.

I use a standard leather bi-fold with a pouch for change. The thing is, it's a living hell to try and find one in this country. Most wallets in Canada and Europe have places for change, but not here. What I want to know is, what gives? It seems like such a useful and logical feature.  Confused

You want a cool wallet? Get one made by J.Fold. They're really nice quality, and look really nice too.

I like Target's wallets. I've bought my last three there. It's a leather tri-fold and its great. I think it was about 15 bucks.

A rubber band. Its cost effective. My last Fossil billfold lasted 10 years.

Have you considered using a money clip instead? I find them far more convenient and less bulky than a traditional wallet.

How efficient are money clips with holding things like credit cards though? I almost never carry cash, yet have several cards. Drivers/Vehicle Sales Person Licences, check/credit cards, student id, prox card....ect.
