Red Bull - Do You Like It?

Tue Sep 19, 2006 12:11 am

Yesterday evening I drove back home from a friend, on the way I stopped at a gas station in Dortmund where I bought two cans of Red Bull, when I paid it the shop assistant said something like: "You really want to drink two cans of this horrible stuff?". Today I got a call from my father, he complained that I left the two empty cans in his car, he said something like: "The whole car smells like the stuff, the smell is already disgusting, I will not know how it tastes".

Everyone seems to hate Red Bull. Why? I really like it, the taste is great and it is the perfect drink for Sunday evening when I am feeling tired after a party weekend.

What about you? Do you like Red Bull?

I like it but I agree that it smells funny. The smell and flavour remind me of liquified fruit gello.

I really like it, stuff really helps during exam time and long days at work!

Works even better on nights out with a shot or two of Vodka!  bigthumbsup

I hate it. The stench is God awful and the taste is even worse.

I used to drink it quite a lot, with vodka added of course. I don't mind the taste, however after a few I find it does give me gut-rot. I now generally stay away from it!

I don't hate Red Bull, but I don't like it either. It's just a regular drink with the taste of Haribo Gummibärchen.

My description of the taste is a "carbonated pixie stick."

I'm not a particular fan of it. Have probably had under 20 cans of it in my lifetime.

I also wouldn't ever drink it with alcohol (when I used to drink). Dunno if it actually could be a problem, but I never wanted to mix such a stimulant with such a depressant.

I used to drink it with vodka but stopped since its supposed to be quite dangerous for heart problems if mixed with alcohol.

I like it, I just spent a weekend in France with school. Itr saved my life:

Set off 5pm on Friday night. Caught the 9.00 Pride Of Hull P&O ferry to Rotterdam. Slept on Ferry

Arrived in Rotterdam at 0800 Saturday Morning.

Drove to Lille in France, arrived at 1100

Spent the day in Lille and all of Sunday until 1200, then set off to Rotterdam and caught the 9.00 ferry back last night. I am knackered. I also broke my wrist !!!

I used to drink Vodka and Red Bulls but i found that the hangovers where awful and your heart felt shite the next day.

Something to do with the Vodka slowing it down and the Red Bull speeding it up.

I'll buy it if i really need to stay awake but i wouldn't drink t for refreshment alone.

Love it! I'm drinking a can every day + a lot of coffee

Downside is that it's so bloody expensive 2-3EUR a can here in Germany.
It's only abou 1,20EUR in Austria.

I've used it once to stay awake for exams. Pounded 3 cans, I don't think that I've ever tasted anything so vile in my life. But, I have to give them credit, it worked. But never again, I'll stick with coffee.

That's right, I paid 2.10 EUR per can yesterday evening at the gas station.

Ok, no more Red Bull for me tonight, it's time for Monday night football which means that I am drinking beer. Big grin

Red Bull is good...I used to drink it when it first came out and the market wasnt saturated with other similar drinks. I really dont mind the taste like some people do, but sobe adrenaline rush and mountain dew 'amp' taste better imo.

As for this...Id say the real answer is:

Along with Endorush (not sure if its made anymore), Redline is the tops. Unfortunately its not readily available except at specialty retailers like gnc or smoothie king...not even sure if its sold anywhere outside the U.S.

It's a cross between urine (as I'd imagine it to taste) and a fluoride treatment at the dentist. Pretty vulgar stuff to be honest...especially when you mix it with Jaegermeister. That's just ignunt.

I usually wont touch the stuff, but it does work wonders on late night longhaul drives. Every thanksgiving I make the 12.5 hour drive from the ATL area to see the family close to FNT. Usually the drive begins when work ends around 4:30pm. I find that Red Bull really keeps me up through Ohio and Michigan during the early hours of the morning.

There were studies done which linked it to serveral deaths because people mixed it heavily with alcohol and also from drinking serval cans after excessive exercise.
Its certainly not good for your body especially your heart!

One can now and than is fine just excessive drinking like 2 or 3 cans a day isnt too good.
