Osama Bin Laden Dead?

Sat Sep 23, 2006 7:27 pm

The French newspaper L'est Republicain is reporting it on it's website: http://www.estrepublicain.fr/zoom/2006092300222348.html

I don't know anything about it's reputation or reliability of information.

D.

Well, the Est Republicain is a reliable newspaper in France.

However, they merely say "Saudis secret services are now convinced that OBL is dead"

Cheers,

I'm hearing everywhere on the radio, tv, that he might be dead of Typhoid fever.

I however take this news with lots of reserve since more than one time his death has been rumored

Would be quite ironic that after all of those years of being chased by the entire US armed forces arsenal, he was to die of typhoid fever. I don't know why so many people see that his death would make any differance at all. If he dies there still will be terrorism, there still will be suicide bombers, there still will be tension between the Middle East and the West. Terrorism is an idea, not a person, not Bin Laden. Sheesh.  sarcastic

France Investigates Leak of info on OBLs death . . .

http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe/09/23/france.binladen/index.html

Don't you all think - if OBL had been found to be taking a dirt nap - be it 30 days or 30 minutes ago - it would be rather 'big world wide news'?

I caught this first thing when I woke up this morning. CNN's running it with a lot of disclaimers, but they're still running it.

Don't know what to make of it, other than I'd want to be damn sure before I started speculating....CNN doesn't have the best reputation for this stuff, so if I were them I'd check the authenticity until their blue in the face.

If its true, I wish it could have been us to do it.

The most important role of secret sevice organizations is to spread false roumors...
Chirac seemed very embarrassed and has asked a detailes investigation about the journal's source.
If the report -as stated -was "secret defence" it should not have been published.

Of course, like the rest of you, I won't feel sorry for that animal, but what kind of a difference would the death of that make? Personally, I'm more interested in dismantling all the terrorist cells he created all over the world. In case that the freak is dead, all those cells could work on their own and could create even bigger destruction and cause more deaths.

I would wait until the the Saudi's get his body and USA or EU labs can take DNA samples and check it against those of his relatives (like his son).
Even then, al-Queda is more than Bin Laden and I am quite sure some other person will take his place.
It is well known he has kidney disease, so exposure to some diseases may have fortuntally put him at greater risk to die for his age. I just hope he had a very painful experience in his death if true.

Even if he is dead... this will change NOTHING in the Al Qaida organisation... they're a cell based terrorist organisation and the world will be no safer with him no longer in charge...

Although I suspect the guy's dead a while back, I'll believe it when I see his body.

If he's dead, may God pass the right judgement for his horrific acts and send him to hell as Satan's pet in hell!

Sounds like, if he died, it was of disease, not a bullet through his head.

Either way, if he did die, I hope he suffered like no one else ever did.

True, but he would have gotten it because of us! LOL! I would never drink water from a cave!

If it is confirmed that he is dead, I don't know wheter to burn a flag, or fire my AK into the air!!!! Any suggestions?

He isn't dead until 51% of the carcass is recovered.

Frankly I hope he is killed in such a way that he can be caped and the hide sent to a good taxidermist for permanent display at the GW presidential library

They say racist Farrakhan is also on the way out. When he
finally goes, I hope OBL is one of his 72 virgins.

If he is then it is too good to be true... I am waiting for confirmation though.
But if it Tyfus that killed him, if I might add, it would be because of his return-to-the-age-of-Mohammed life style he was going for. The man would(n't) drink cold water, lived in a cave etc. etc.

Too bad hell isn't a part of my religion  scratchchin  other wise I am sure that is where he would be. Big grin
