YYZ Meet Follow-up Thread!

Sun Sep 24, 2006 11:11 pm

Well another YYZ meet has passed, and boy was this a great one!

Here is a list of people who showed up:

And here are some photos from the meet:

Well that pretty much sums it all up. I look forward to seeing you all again, and hopefully MANY (I hope to GOD!) more in the spring/summer.

Quiet peasant! These people are nice and good, far removed from the riff raff you associate with down the docks!! Big grin

How is Cornish BTW?

After all, it was not too bad. The dinner was not too bad either.

Thanks to Mike.

Fuming with impotent rage following repeated deft and skillful slaggings from his "admirers" on a.net. I thinks we can be proud of ourselves. I believe he is up for parole tomorrow, so be prepared for some counter-slagging.

Yup, Jason needs to learn a thing or two about marketing! We were bombarded with threads about this meet so early on, and there was nothing towards the end! Plus, he chose a weekend in which the weather sucked. Piss poor planning!

I never stayed that long, so I take no credit (...or lack thereof) for the organization of dinner.

I actually don't have any photos of people. Just aircraft. Santhosh might have a couple, however...

Fine then, why don't you organize the meet(s) then, Nuno. Then I'll add the crap to the website when it gets posted here.  Wink

The weather isn't my fault. That's Cumulonimbus' fault!!

I can't believe I forgot about the date. I remember it now, 23/24 of September! The weather sucked anyway.

Well, I had a great time and thank you to those who showed up (and ooops, I forgot my damn camera).

Thanks to the special persons who appeared at YYZ:

Jason: Hope the flying napkins came in handy (and thanks for the CD's)

Mike: Thanks for the Tim Bits and the laughs. Ps Don't try chatting up angry foul-mouthed female Police Officers

Santhosh: Thanks for backing us up when the Peel Officer moved us along!

Johnny: You finally decided to wear long pants!

Gill: Thanks for embarassing me with the "tissues in the car" comment - Actually thanks for the gut laugh.

And a special mention to:

My Mum: Thanks for breaking your "good" leg in Majorca, Spain and ending up in a hospital awaiting a transfer to back to GLA on aircraft with stretcher capability. Get well soon, I love you.

And finally:

Thanks to Brian at Mazda for working out an awesome deal for my new car!
