Ripping DVD To Mpeg

Can anybody recommend what software to rip a DVD (home video, not protected) to convert to a mpeg or avi for emailing??

AutoGK or DVDShrink for PC
Handbrake for Mac

I have DVDDecryptor for ripping and AutoGK for encoding. Both work very well.
