Need Help To ID A Song (techno)

Tue Oct 03, 2006 11:40 am

Hey guys,

During a couple of parties this month I heard a nice techno song which has an acoustic guitar intro and only a few lyrics and I think I heard something like "rainbow".

Anyone knows which song am I talking about?

Saludos desde Caracas,
Luis

Gonna need more info than that mate!

Do you mean techno as in house, or techno as in trance, or techno as in techno?
What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

It rubs me up the wrong way when dance music is described as techno, unless it really is REAL techno... Haha!

As chris said, we're gonna need more than just that... a full lyric section or partial recording...

I'm just going to briefly hijack this thread. Theres a tune/song/beat (whatever you want to refer to it as) that I want on it's own, and not in the track that i'm posting.

Here is what i'm looking for...
http://www.jdepodesta.com/airliners/01_scooter_-_lights_out.mp3

the beeping that starts at about 7 or 8 seconds. I've heard it before in this track, i've heard as introduction on other things like howard stern, or shows in the area like a demolition derby. Someone's going to have to help me out!!

Luis, could it be Marusha - Somewhere over the Rainbow? It is a German rave song from 1993. PM me if you need a sample.

Edit: however, it does not have an acoustic guitar intro...  Sad

Dont get me wrong, i love house... but i've got american friends who say "I listen to Techno" and when they play their "techno", its something like Adagio For Strings by William Orbit... Something certainly not "Techno"...

And for the record... People still VERY much listen to Techno... Me Included...  Wink Along side, Electro & Minimal/Break!

As for the OP try a few online music stores and search for tracks by the term 'Rainbow'. I looked solely at Beatport and got a whole host of hits. Had a skim through the recent hits and couldn't hear an acoustic guitar though. This could depend on the remix though...

Other music sites:
-AudioJelly
-3beat
-EDMDigital
-DJDownload
-http://www.trackitdown.net/
-ID&T Dance-Tunes
-Play It Tonight
-DanceRecords.com
-Kompact-mp3.net
-Traxsource

Should keep you busy...

thumbsup  Same here. More people need to have a browse around Ishkur's Guide to EDM before presuming everything from William Orbit to Lisa Lashes is 'techno'....

PS. Take a look at 'Speedcore' under the 'Hardcore' category....

Lisa Lashes  cloudnine  (brings back good memories).
Which dj used that track at the parties you've visited?
