Man sets self on fire after woman cut severely with knife

PAHOKEE – A woman's arms were severely sliced up before her tormentor turned and set himself on fire Friday, the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office reported.

The man, who was not immediately identified, was rushed to St. Mary's Medical Center with burns over 80 percent of his body. He was later flown to the burn center at Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The incident started around 11 a.m. Friday on the 2500 block of 14 Terrace when the woman got into the confrontation with the man. It was not immediately known what relationship the man and woman had with each other.

Deputies said the man attacked the woman with a knife, cutting her severely. She fled to a neighbor's house and a call was made to 911 for help.

In the meantime, the man soaked himself with gasoline and ignited it, setting himself on fire.

At least he tried to do us all the favor...

Nah, I hope this guy dies real soon..that way it will save the taxpayers of Southern Florida from having to pay what will be a very large medical bill, then mental health evaluation, court costs etc. (Well if its 3rd degree over 80% of his body, then his outlook isn't going to be great)
