Auburn, Alabama: What To Do?

Thu Oct 12, 2006 12:27 pm

I am going up to Auburn this Friday to watch the Gators' 7th win of the season. Can anyone give me some insight about where to go and what to do for a nice time? Places to eat bars etc.... Thanks!

Get some lemonade at Toomer's Drugstore. That's about it for things to do in "The Prettiest Little City on The Plains." You'll have all the normal chain places for chow. Check out if the Gator Club is going to be doing anything during the day since it is an evening game. There really isn't much to do around Auburn or Opelika.

Have fun at the game. I couldn't get tickets as I don't donate enough to Gator Boosters to get season tickets. I'll be at the UGA game earlier that day as a guest of one of their players who is a family friend of ours. I'm planning on wearing my Gator hat and doing the Gator Chomp when they "Call the Dawgs."

BTW, you'll see why they say I-85 is the best thing to come out of Auburn.

Do you know why Bo Jackson played both baseball and football in the pros? To make as much money as he did at Auburn.

Like I said, have a great time at the game. GO GATORS!

I'm sure you'd be able to get tickets from a scalper on gameday for a decent price, 2 tix outside the swamp for LSU were going for $50 each. I thought that was pretty good!

Well I guess there's not much to do in Auburn! I'll have some shots of the final score with the Gators on top for the usual college football thread.

Thanks

Auburn appears not to be the hot spot for social activites in the SEC. Wonder how it ranks with Lincoln, Lubbock, and Akron. Catch up on your sleep maybe.

Auburn coeds are pretty easy once you get some booze in them. Just smack her on the butt shouting "Who's your Bull Gator baby?!"
