Help With Interior Of My Car Please!

Fri Oct 13, 2006 2:58 pm

Okay so i just bought my first car for college. Its a commuter car at best but good MPG. Its a 1988 HOnda Accord LXi 2 door Hatchback. I like it so far, there is no outer body dmage or anything and the paint is original with minor spots of rust and whatnot. ANyways the inside looks shitty. Its nice and upholstered and the the plastic is all fine and stuff but its simple. I dont have cupholders whish is something i want, and i am windering if anyone has tips for me to maximize the efficency of my car.

Im planning a cross-country roadtrip next summer and my car is the only one with the best MPG out of my friends's cars. So being that in mind id be bringing at least three people. And yeah we'd probably eat mostly in the car and wont sleep much just take shifts at driving. So how can i make it more comfortable for both myself and others.

Well you've bought an 18yr old shit heap really so I wouldn't worry about it too much. To maximise comfort just treat it as such and throw your rubbish on the floor and buy your drinks in bottles so they can roll around on the back seat.

I mean in all honesty, your car is going to end up like your username!

Simple is sometimes the best way. Happy motoring chap!

And you don't get much simpler than Alex - or should I say Loretta?  duck

Alex will suffice. To use the name Loretta would imply anything but simple if you get me. Did you ever meet that bloke Amy?

How much did you pay for your car?

and, given that,

How much are you ready to spend on it?

Personally, I wouldn't spend a single dollar besides the necessary maintenance on a nearly 20 year old car unless it was a classic. Not even on the stereo.

Plus, are you sure you want to take a nearly 20 yr old car on a cross-country trip? I did, once, but then Spain is much smaller than the US Big grin
