Hotels At MAD

Mon Oct 16, 2006 4:41 am

Are there any decent hotels at MAD airport (i.e. within a short walk from the terminal)? If not, what would be the closest decent hotel with a shuttle bus from MAD?

But just remember that it doesn't have a fre shuttle bus, and that it cost us a fortune in taxis!

Off the top of my head I think it was about 15-20 Euros maximum each way, but it could have been a lot less (its been a year so the grey cells are starting to forget). The main problem we had was finding a driver who was willing to take us such a short distance. After they have waited in line for perhaps three or four hours they were not best pleased at having such a short fare, but what could we do.

There are though other hotels that do have a free shuttle bus, so it might be worth paying a little bit more and staying in one of those, or like Andy did, hire a car.
