What Do You Eat And Drink In The Sport Stadium?

Wed Oct 18, 2006 3:41 am

I am curious what people all around the world are eating and drinking when they are watching sport in the stadium.

Personally I am always eating a "Bratwurst" (fried sausage) with mustard in a roll, as drink I always choose beer of course:

There is of course other stuff available in the stadiums (Leverkusen's BayArena has a McDonalds, in Bochum's Ruhrstadion has opened a Kebab snack bar recently, etc. etc.) but IMO is nothing better than a friend sausage and a beer when watching footie.

What do you guys eat and drink in the stadium?

Sometimes a hot dog, and usually a ice lemonade from the vendors in the aisles. Never from the concessions stands though, the lines are too long, and the quality of the food doesn't make up for it.

At Quest Field here in Seattle. They have the best footlong sausage dogs with peppers and onions topped with relish. The Beer is from the Pyramid Brewery right across the street from Qwest Field and Safeco Field. The Hefewiezen is the best with some lemons squeezed into it.

I might occassionally get a slice of pizza or a brat at a Thrashers game. I usually eat before the game since the CNN Center is right next to Philips Arena (The entrance most fans use is the entrance that is inside the CNN Center) and there are quite a few places to eat and drink at inside there. The $6 beer at a place inside the CNN Center is about twice the size of the $6 beer inside of Philips Arena.

When I go to a game, I normally hit Moe's for a burrito and then hit some little restaurant stand (Not sure what kind of food they serve, as most folks go there to get beer) next door for a big cup (32oz I think) of Newcastle for around $6.50.

I'll usually grab a few beers during the game, as there is a "pub" on the concourse in the section of the arena I usually sit at and I can get Guinness, Bass, Boddingtons, or Stella there.

My traditional stadium food is usually chicken fingers and onion rings (when available)...as all stadium food is kind of a rip off so I generally only have it when in a new stadium (for me), or when Im absolutely starved...

Quoting USAFHummer (Reply 7):

Tell me about it:

At the browns stadium: 2 hot dogs + an order of fries+ 1 beer = $20

Thanks for your replies, guys! Very interesting.

The Hot-Dog in US stadiums is quite famous, I have been to the Giants Stadium and to the Ford Field to watch American Football, I always ate a (damned good) Hot-Dog.  bigthumbsup

I agree with everyone who wrote that stadium food is rip-off! I paid friggin' 13.20 EUR for two beers and two fried sausages in the stadium last Saturday.  grumpy  Yeah, I know, I always complain about the price but I am always buying it again because it is kind of a tradition. Big grin

Hot dogs and beer and possibly some hot chocolate spiked with some smuggled-in Famous Grouse or Glenfiddich on a chilly night at the ballpark.

I'll usually get some peanuts, and leave the shells all over the ground. I'll get a Budweiser too, but I typically get shit faced in the parking lot then go into the stadium.

Most of the time either the Rangers games at Ameriquest Field and Cowboys games at Texas Stadium

Well with the prices I think I'd get more nutrients eating the actual $8 I have rather than eating the hot dog that costs the same.

Hot Dog for me mostly. Usually, I get tanked at the tailgate, and eat a hotdog to sort of counter my drunken haze.

Usually nothing. There is a better chance of going bankrupt then getting drunk or getting a proper feed at Canberra Stadium. If I do have something it will usually be a beer and a meat pie with sauce.

Always gotta have a beer and nachos and a hot dog at U.S. Celluar Field, while rooting for my White Sox. Price doesnt matter for that 3 hour span.
I wish UA flew mainline to MYR, that way you wouldn't be stuck in a smelly Saturn for 12 hours.
