Formating A Partitioned Hard Drive?

Sat Oct 21, 2006 12:43 pm

Im trying to clean a laptop drive on a USB external drive setup. I can format the two partitions that exist on the drive, but how do I eliminate the two partitions?
Thanks for your help.

type Fdisk /?

at a command prompt it should give you most of what you need.

If it's EASY to hook it up onto an XP box you can right click on 'my computer' then 'manage' and use the disk utility.
