Inground Pool Question

Mon Oct 23, 2006 9:10 am

Ooops, i just put 2 quarts of muratic acid in my inground pool instead of just one. I know not to go swiming but is there any chance it will hurt the pool equipment?

Nah, you're still talking about "parts per million", it won't hurt your pump. Chlorine is very corrosive itself, but takes a long time to wear out a pump. Just let it sit overnight, check the alkilinity (not just the pH), then put in Soda Ash as necessary.
