Hurray "Rhaa" Has Made It To American Press

Sun Oct 29, 2006 2:30 pm

"A plague of frogs recently was visited upon the Howies, who didn't really deserve it. All they did was move from Long Island, N.Y., to Coconut Grove, to a house alongside Merrie Christmas Park, in the rainy season.

''Like rhaa, rhaa! And then it gets louder,'' said Roy Jr., 10. His sister, Grace, 8, made a similar but more nasally quackish sound: ''Rhah!'' "

Story continues here: http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/15784227.htm

The fact that rhaa and frogs is written in (nearly) the same paragraph makes me wonder if this wasn't schemed by an A.net member.

So who's the culprit?

BTW, before any "rhaa policemen" go "rhaa this rhaaing is annoying", I am merely quoting an article and expressing my freedom of speech.

As far as I know it is
A) an expression of one A.netter for "very very .... "
-- like "that is 'rhaa expensive'
B) his nick-name for one or two other A.netters
-
But I cannot tell you where he has the expression from

Its a noise, like frogs croaking.
Its also the beginnings of a rant, like some deranged european going off.

looked this expression up in "Oxford Advanced Genie". Interesting :
-
1) (old-fashioned, especially BrE) a stupid or silly person
2) (especially AmE) a criminal who is paid to frighten or injure people

Freedom of speech my arse! It's childish and purile. Tell me, did you actually do a Google search for 'Rhaa' or do you regularly read the Miami Herald?

I suspect you googled Rhaa, and in that case, get a life fella!

Apparently some silly people here are cheering for frogs. Perhaps they are TCU fans. Usually on this side of the pond we spell it RAH, RAH, RAH and only use it at football games.

Cheering for frogs ? Nobody here is cheering for frogs. The originator of this term on a.net does NOT use it in regard to frogs in any way. He would rather say that your argument is "rhaaaa silly", seriously tearing on the nerves of those around !

Again, he does NOT "cheer" anything, but he simply emphasizes something. Like instead of just "interesting" to say "very interesting" and he has the habit to say "rhaa interesting".
