So, unless you can provide some data about and references about your experience in the school system, you are wrong.

B777-700, providing a fatual basis for you arguments, and providing a background check are two different things. I'm sorry you lack the mental capacity to see that.

Can you prove you from Cleveland?

What a dolt. You haven't added anything substantive to this thread since you started. It's all been misinformation, and one-liners.

If you want to continue to make a fool for yourself please do, I'll keep pointing out your foolishness.

When are you going to get back to the real topic at hand? When are you going to try to accept my challenge? I asked you if you recall to PROVE somethings to me and I would vote Democrat on Tuesday. Here is your chance. All you have to do is SHOW me.

Yes, I can. Do I need to prove it? No I don't. Get the picture?

The world knows Bush stood in front of the nation during the State of the Union address just before the war and said Iraq had WMD's and connections to 9/11. That was all he said, not your 'laundry list' of reasons that were made up after the fact.

And you know he did too. You're just playing this 'you have to post his words or it didn't happen' game to distract from the fact that it's devastating to your argument.

After a while, yeah. You're impossible. Once I realized that, I stopped taking you seriously, because you weren't worth the effort...Still aren't.

Oh give it a rest. You're not going to vote Dem no matter that I say. If you haven't figured out why own your own in the past six years, you're beyond reach. Moving on...

He did? Care to post that quote again and save me some time? BTW, why was it that the government had to pull down the site containing all the intel we found on Sadams wmd programs, specifically the nuclear one?

As to the thread topic, why is anyone even still talking about this? Is anyone still talking about this? Kerry is an insensitive moron, we all knew that 2 years ago. It's why he is still the junior Senator from MA.

I can sympathize with Kerry, because I've said things that seemed innocently funny to me at the time, and then realized later they were stupid and insulting. All Kerry had to do was be honest, say it was stupid and insulting, and shut up.

When I was in high school and college, it was a fact that kids who flunked out got sent to Vietnam. But that isn't true anymore. Now it's an all volunteer military. That's why Kerry is so stupid. It's no longer true that the less intelligent people automatically get drafted. And that's what made the insult even worse. He was making fun of the kids who volunteered.

Save you time? In the time you spent typing that message you could have had the answer.

Step #1: In the address box of your browser type: www.google.com
Step #2: In the search box type: bush "state of the union" iraq wmds
Step #3: Click "I'm feeling lucky"
Step #4: Read it.

How much time does that take?

BTW, how about the NYT complaining that the docs siezed from Hussiens wmd programs contained enough information to put together a nuclear bomb. What exactly does that suggest? What were the only things they were lacking if they were within reach of the technical know how? This war was the right thing to do. The guy was a ticking time bomb. Kerry is the one who has proven over and over again to be a backstabber to everyone in the military.

While everyone is arguing about what Bush did or didn't say, I found this in an article by the Pew Research Center:

Quote:
In addition, Sen. John Kerry's "botched joke" about the war in Iraq attracted enormous attention. Fully 84% of voters say they have heard a lot or a little about Kerry's remarks with 60% saying they have heard a lot. By comparison, just 26% say they have heard a lot about President Bush's statement that he will keep Donald Rumsfeld as secretary of defense until he leaves office in 2009. Most voters say Kerry's statement is not a serious consideration in their vote, but 18% of independent voters say it did raise serious doubts about voting for a Democratic candidate.

Whatever happens Tuesday, I think it is a safe bet that John Kerry is finished as a national candidate with any credibility.

Let's see that quote

You guys are pathetic...Just pathetic.

"Our nation and the world must learn the lessons of the Korean Peninsula and not allow an even greater threat to rise up in Iraq. A brutal dictator, with a history of reckless aggression, with ties to terrorism, with great potential wealth, will not be permitted to dominate a vital region and threaten the United States. (Applause.)"

"Twelve years ago, Saddam Hussein faced the prospect of being the last casualty in a war he had started and lost. To spare himself, he agreed to disarm of all weapons of mass destruction. For the next 12 years, he systematically violated that agreement. He pursued chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons, even while inspectors were in his country. Nothing to date has restrained him from his pursuit of these weapons -- not economic sanctions, not isolation from the civilized world, not even cruise missile strikes on his military facilities."

"Our intelligence officials estimate that Saddam Hussein had the materials to produce as much as 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent. In such quantities, these chemical agents could also kill untold thousands. He's not accounted for these materials. He has given no evidence that he has destroyed them."

"U.S. intelligence indicates that Saddam Hussein had upwards of 30,000 munitions capable of delivering chemical agents. Inspectors recently turned up 16 of them -- despite Iraq's recent declaration denying their existence. Saddam Hussein has not accounted for the remaining 29,984 of these prohibited munitions. He's given no evidence that he has destroyed them."

"From three Iraqi defectors we know that Iraq, in the late 1990s, had several mobile biological weapons labs. These are designed to produce germ warfare agents, and can be moved from place to a place to evade inspectors. Saddam Hussein has not disclosed these facilities. He's given no evidence that he has destroyed them."

"Evidence from intelligence sources, secret communications, and statements by people now in custody reveal that Saddam Hussein aids and protects terrorists, including members of al Qaeda. Secretly, and without fingerprints, he could provide one of his hidden weapons to terrorists, or help them develop their own"

- President George W. Bush, State of the Union address, January 28th, 2003

Neither one of those quotes mentions 9/11. It was a known fact, boasted by Saddam himself that he was paying the families of suicide bombers in Israel. That is supporting terrorism. It has been proven that Al Queda members transited Iraq, with permission, to get to countries such as Syria and Jordan to make their way into the west. That is aiding and protecting terrorists including members of Al Queda.

How about those plans for nuclear weapons found among the docs secured after the invasion. He nearly had the technical means, all he needed was the material to make it happen. Getting rid of him was the right thing to do.

Of course you are another of those that feels a few thousand casulties at the hands of a terrorist group right here in this country is an acceptable loss. Tell me, just when would you decide to fight them? No don't bother, I already know, never. As long as it's someone else getting killed you don't care.

The truth is Gilligan that President Bush has not directly said "Saddam or Iraq is directly responsible for 9/11."

However, leading up to the war, he often mentioned Iraq and 9/11 in the same sentence. He used the fear of the American people to gain support of the war.

"Polling data show that right after Sept. 11, 2001, when Americans were asked open-ended questions about who was behind the attacks, only 3 percent mentioned Iraq or Hussein. But by January of this year, attitudes had been transformed. In a Knight Ridder poll, 44 percent of Americans reported that either "most" or "some" of the Sept. 11 hijackers were Iraqi citizens. The answer is zero."

Source:
http://www.csmonitor.com/2003/0314/p02s01-woiq.html

Here's some more.
"This administration never said that the 9/11 attacks were orchestrated between Saddam and al Qaeda," Bush said. "We did say there were numerous contacts between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda."

..............and from the Chariman of the 9/11 comissions report:

(btw source: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A50679-2004Jun17.html)

"Were there contacts between al Qaeda and Iraq? Yes," Thomas H. Kean (R), the panel's chairman, said at a news conference. "What our staff statement found is there is no credible evidence that we can discover, after a long investigation, that Iraq and Saddam Hussein in any way were part of the attack on the United States."

See statements like this:
Bush, in 2003, said "the battle of Iraq is one victory in a war on terror that began on September the 11th, 2001."

Saying "that began on September the 11th, 2001" is not needed in this statement. It's a given. The reason President Bush talked about September 11th is so the American people would think about Iraq being directly related to Septermber 11, 2001.

And President Bush says it himself:
"There's no question that Saddam Hussein had al Qaeda ties," the president said. But he also said, "We have no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the Sept. 11" attacks."

And another poll in 2003 shows:
"Yet, a new poll found that nearly 70 percent of respondents believed the Iraqi leader probably was personally involved. Rumsfeld said, "I've not seen any indication that would lead me to believe that I could say that."

Source: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/11/18/iraq/main584234.shtml

So in the end, when President Bush says he's never said Iraq or Saddam was responsible for 9/11 he is telling the truth. What he has done, however, is to manipulate Americans into believing the two go hand in hand.

A well thought out post Bobster. I think if Kerry hadn't gotten so indignant refusing to apologise and blaming Bush, and Tony Snow and Rush Limbaugh, this might have died a quiet death.

But he didn't and he energized the Republican Base. He did more to undermine Democrat vote suppression with One "joke" than the Mark Foley scandal or Jack Abramoff combined.

Thank you John Kerry.

It won't Iraq or anything else go away. But according to Pew, it has made 18% of independent voters question whether they should vote for a democrat.

While Kerry's lame attempt at humor isn't going to affect the way I vote, I'll bet the Democratic party wishes he'd kept his mouth shut.

It was interesting to listen to NPR this afternoon discussing how the HUGE lead the Democrats HAD has tightened up over the past few days.

Kerry's comments come from Democrat hubris. It's the same hubris ArtiFufkin shows. It's the same hubris B777-700 shows. To Democrats this election season was over IN August. Mark Foley was supposed to be the icing on the cake. Democrats had been anointed, in the media and by the Democrat base which was very very energized.

The Republicans on the other hand where supposed to lay down and die. Quietly step aside. Only the most partisan of Republicans (you know who you are) are deluded enough to think there was anything worth defending. You could see how angry they got when ever anyone challenged their belief.

John Kerry came out and said what he said, it could be a joke, it could have been a swipe at the troops, but he said it and he thought because of the Democrat wave he would get away with it because EVERYONE is supposed to hate the President. That's why he chose the tactic of getting angry and indignant when asked to apologize. He thought everyone would back him because we are all supposed to be just as angry with the President as he is.

Well unfortunately for John Kerry there are people who DON'T agree with him. And he made them angry and energized them into action. When all Democrats wanted was for Republicans to sleep through November 7th. And unfortunately for ArtieFufkin there is only one poll that counts. That poll is tomorrow. So we shall see. I'm not making any predictions but I don't think it will be as huge a groundswell as Artie KNOWS it's going to be. And unfortunately, for B777-700, he never showed me using John Kerry's words where Kerry meant that joke to be aimed at the President. So He lost the chance to gain another Democrat vote tomorrow. He could have made his vote count twice if ONLY he knew how to argue on points instead of crack jokes.
