RIP Jack Palance

Sat Nov 11, 2006 3:02 pm

Well looks like Hollywood has lost another very good tough guy actor.

Jack Palance has died at 87.

He won an Oscar for his role in "City Slickers"

I personally remember him as a kid back in the early 1980's when he hosted TV's "Ripleys Believe it or Not". Most people will remember his numerous western role.s

Didn't I see Palance on the Oscars doing one armed push-ups? THis he was around 75 years old at the time?

Rest in Peace . . .  tombstone

Palance was an Army Aviator in WW2, he flew B24 Liberators . . .

A truely great actor. It's a same. I enjoyed watching him in City Slickers, among others. His one armed push ups at the Oscars was pretty classic, though.

One of the creepiest looking/acting guys I've ever seen, but, damn he was good. God rest his soul.

Now that's a shame. But I should be so lucky to make it to 87. He lived a long an very fruitful life. Best wishes in the hereafter Jack!

Totally strange hearing this...because for some reason I thought he had died years ago.

Let me get out the records to see my hair color over the time periods....
