Getting From LA To Santa Clarita . How?

Sun Nov 19, 2006 12:00 pm

I will have to travel by car from LA to Santa Clarita. Is it far away? How long will it take me to get there?

45 MIN drive from LAX. Take the I-405N to the I-5N.

goto www.randmcnally.com for detailed planning. They also accept IATA-codes as locations.

The I-405 mentioned by Boston92 can be pretty packed during times !
If you are NOT travelling alone, you can make use of the Carpool Lane. Last time I checked, the limit on that very stretch of I-405 is only "2 or more people in a car" for qualifying to use the carpool lane.

Very true, but to a person that does not know the southland, taking backroads might be a bit confusing. 405 is just the easiest.

Oops, I didn't intend to stipulate use of the backroads, it was more to inform the OP that the 45 minutes of driving time that is calculated by any Trip Planning-device, cannot be guaranteed during certain times of the day ...  Smile

Very True, but I was basing my 45 MIN driving time from experience. Granted I drove it at about noon, 6 pm would probably be double or more then noon!!
