Offical 06/07 N. Hemisphere Ski Season Tread

Fri Nov 24, 2006 9:59 am

Well this is my second attempt at this treat first time, internet explorer froze up on me. Gah, o well. Alright so it all started at 0645hrs this morning when the alarm went off, i woke up checked the weather for a flight i was soposed to do, but the GFAs for the area showed some low celling so i checked the weather for the ski resort knowing it was there opening day. Looks good enough to go. Wake my room mate up tell him we are going skiing instead of flying. So we call the flight center cancel our flight (most of you guys are going to hate me for that) and head of for the slopes. Today its going to be Silver Star, which only has a base of 80 cm which is much worse then my previous home mountain of Mt. Baker which happens to be close to Bellingham WA. and has a base of 236 cm with it growing rapidly. None the less it will be good just to get out, so off we go. Arrive at 845 and hit the slopes for an amazing day, I Snowboard while my roomate skies. So how about you guys how much Skiing or Snowboarding have you guys been doing, or when does your ski season begin.

Cheers Chris

Well, after a scare last Friday, the doc said I'm cleared  Smile  Smile  Smile  Smile  Smile

I will be starting snowboarding this year. Hopefully without the injury.
Well I believe it all is coming to an end. Oh well, I guess we are gonna pretend.

Ive been snowboarding since 1998 (Before I used to ski since I was a tiny one). I learned how to board in Laax, Switzerland and go there often.

I also hit up Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail, Arapahoe Valley in Colorado often (my parents have a timeshare in Keystone). Cant really do much since I now go to school in Florida but when im in Illinois I often go to Wisconsin for a day trip to Cascade Mtn or Devils Head to do some half pipes and jumps.

Another day with 15° C here in Austria. No signs of snow yet. Last winter was great, loads of snow from December till March. Let's hope we'll get some snow within the next weeks.

The Bahamas clearly being in the Northern hemisphere, I'm happy to report that brother is planning to go water skiing and/or wake boarding tomorrow.
I'm an aviation expert. I have Sky Juice for breakfast.
