Thanks everyone.....this is a huge thing here. The way the inspector explained it....about 10000 apply every year....200 make it to selecion and they hire about 75 a year.....i am one of 28 this time.

It was the hardest job i have ever applied for. Not sure if anyone has ever experiences a 5 question 3.5 hour interview....

Damn right. It's a narrow field of applicants at the end, to be able to say, "I made it" is a damn fine accomplishment. One of which you can be justly proud . . .

Very well done.

Negative, Nanook, you're still the polar bear patrol. Greasy is now ripe for moose parody. AAMOF, I was preparing to make a "moosejacking in progress" joke, but that just sounds sick.  biggrin

Ottawa city and not OPP.

In ontario we have the OPP(Ontario Provincial Police) instead of the RCMP.

Very cool! Not sure about the canucks up north, but are they carrying tasers yet? That is a fun class to take. If they do, volunteer to be first!! Make sure you ask them to hit you with their best shot. Tell them you can take it like a man. Tell them you can handle a wimpy taser!

BTW- Make sure you pack an extra set of boxers/underwear! LOL!

ummm  no

It would mean waiting a bunch more months and i have already waited enough.

Besides in January i go to Alymer, Ontario (near London)for 13 weeks to Ontario Police College.

I also figure I would rather be there over the winter than in the summer....The rooms have heat but no A/C. I was ther in May and it was brutal....Over 30C and humid.

In addition to being a field trainer, I'm also a performance evaluator. A few weeks ago, I had a female rookie who was assigned to me.
