Help With Noise Cancelling Headphones...

Wed Nov 29, 2006 2:08 am

Guys,
Please help. I have long haul flights coming up next week and I'm looking to buy noise cancelling headphones. I can't spend $300+ on Bose QuietComfort 2s. But I am looking at certain ones. If someone can help me and tell me with their personal experience of which ones to get, that will be great... I would like to buy them today so even if I order them online, I'll get them before next wednesday. Anyways, here is what I'm looking at:

1. Bose TriPort Headphones $139
(Not really noise-cancelling, but listened to them and they sounded amazing)
2. Sennheiser PXC150
(Never used them)
3. Sennheiser PXC250
4. Sennheiser PXC300
5. Philips HN110

I'd like to spend no more than $130... If there are any others that I should consider, I will look into those as well.

Sony MDRV700 - I use them for DJing and they cancel noise A LOT better than any of the Sennhaisers.

3. Sennheiser PXC250

I had a pair of these, and they were excellent.

Currently using Shure Earbuds, which also work nicely, but when they break/wear out, I'm prbably going back to regualr hadphones, and will opt for the Bose.

I have a Sennheiser too. It's compact, is comfortable on the ears and does a very good job with noise cancellation/sound quality.

Have fun on your long haul flights.

I guess I'll be buying the Sennheiser's. Don't know if they will be the 250s or the 300s. 250 is $90 free shipping and the 300 is $118 including shipping.

Go with the bose. If they make their headphones like they make their aviation headsets and speakers....they should be killer.
